Facilitator
bio:
Cheryl Dobinson is a bisexual writer, activist and zine-maker.
She has been publishing the bi women's zine "The Fence" since 2002 (www.thefence.ca).
Her work has been featured in Canadian Woman Studies, The Journal of
Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Identity, The Journal of Homosexuality,
Herizons, Fireweed and a 2004 book called "I Could Not Speak My
Heart: Education and Social Justice for Gay and Lesbian Youth".
Cheryl is very involved in her local bisexual community, lives in
the gay village with her bi sweetheart, and wants to start wearing
a t-shirt that says "This is what a bisexual feminist looks like" so
people will stop assuming she's straight just because her partner
happens to be a man. During the day, Cheryl works at Sherbourne
Health Centre in Toronto, coordinating an innovative health
promotion project entitled "Making Us Visible: Promoting Access to
Breast Health and Breast Cancer Services for Lesbian and Bisexual
Women.
